Welcome to the homepage of the 2009 Alabama Workforce Development Conference. This conference is sponsored by the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development and draws more than 1,000 workforce professionals representing employers, partner agencies, economic development entities, workforce boards, regional workforce development councils, training providers, and other parties interested in workforce development.

This year’s conference will be held in Montgomery at the new Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center, October 28-30.  The Conference Planning Committee is preparing a full agenda of plenary speakers and networking opportunities. A wide selection of workshops highlighting specific workforce activities around the state as well as a variety of workforce issues is also planned. This year we have added a specific track for business and industry.

To facilitate the registration and payment process, we have instituted an on-line system that will be more efficient and cost effective.
